Betfair
Since Betfair was launched in June 2000 it has become the largest online betting
company in the UK and the largest bet exchange in the world. Betfair currently has
over 1,000,000 clients and a turnover in excess of £50m/week. The company is based
in England.
Betdaq
Betdaq is the trading name of Global Betting Exchange, a betting exchange operator
based in Ireland. The company was founded in 2000 by leading Irish businessman Dermot
Desmond and started trading in September 2001.
Betsson
The technical development of Betsson was initiated in the beginning of 2001, and
the website was launched in May 2002. The company is based in Malta.
Mansion
Launched in 2004 as the world’s first commission free exchange, Mansion is headquartered
in Gibraltar. The company has seen significant growth rates and is currently ranked
as the second largest sports exchange on Alexa.com, only surpassed by Betfair.
Tradesports
Tradesports Tradesports was founded by John Delaney in 2000 and by 2005 it reported
50,000 members and an average monthly volume of four million trades. The company
is based in Ireland.
